All-Wood Pew Bodies

Imperial’s all-wood pew body illustrates the natural beauty in the wood grain of Northern Red Oak, and complements this beauty with a contoured seat for increased comfort while seated. This style of pew body utilizes a flat wood back with purely Grade A face veneers that are 100% sound and without any wild grain. All wood pews can be made using plywood core or edge-glued solid wood. The contoured wood seat, coupled with rounded solid oak nosing, provides the maximum comfort possible for an all-wood pew.

Any of our wood pew bodies can be made with a flat seat to be better suited for loose, reversible seat cushions, and our wood backs are standard flat backs built to be able to utilize fixed back cushions when desired.

Upholstered Pew Bodies

A luxurious cushioned pew back combined with a scientifically contoured seat provides the ultimate in comfort for your investment while maintaining the strength and durability to last a lifetime... We guarantee it! The fully upholstered pew is accented with your choice of rich wood finishes on the wood portions of the pew and complemented with your choice of upholstery fabric. Imperial uses only the finest fabrics from a wide range of patterns and colors from which you may choose.

On a fully upholstered pew, the fabric covered pew back adds elegance as well as protection. A finished wood panel on the backside of the pew back is also available to enhance its elegance as well as its acoustics.

Select an upholstered foam cushioned seat to be used with a beautifully grained wood pew back. This style pew combines the timeless beauty of a wood pew with the comfort delivered through our uniquely designed contoured foam seat. The upholstered seat is fixed, yet easily removable for ease in recovering in future generations. It achieves the combination of beauty, comfort, and acoustics normally desired in today's most demanding churches. Only the finest stains and finishes are used to ensure that each pew is as handsome as it is durable.
